What happened?
We have decided to temporarily pause ChatArchive.tv. The service is no longer actively monitoring Twitch channels or recording new chat messages.
All previously archived data (streams, chat messages, statistics) remains available and can still be browsed as before.
Why?
Running ChatArchive.tv requires infrastructure that costs money — servers, database hosting, bandwidth, and more. As the archive grew (over 18 million chat messages across 130+ channels), so did the costs. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to sustain these expenses.
Is it permanent?
We hope not. If circumstances change or if there is enough community interest, we would love to bring ChatArchive.tv back. For now, however, we cannot commit to a timeline.
